- People create new new things that lead to progress by using their imaginations.
Without imagination, no progress would have been made.
d) counterstatement
- Imagination leads nowhere; new worlds are created without it.
e) lengthen or shorten the statement
- Imagination is a waste. It leads no where; but blindly following the status quo creates new worlds
f) validate
- The original statement is clearly more accurate and inspiring. Thre would be no lightbubs or cars had it not been for the imagination of Edison and Ford. These two inventions alone changed our world. A new world where driving around to see the Christmas lights is possible.

**He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask is a fool forever

- You may look like a fool for asking, but you get an answer you'd still not have if you didn't ask in the first place.

- It's better to look the fool by asking to get a right answer than to stay a silent fool.
c) explanatory statement
- You may look foolish by admitting to and asking when you don't know something, but at least you get an answer and learn something instead of trying to look good and never knowing.
d) counterstatement

e) lengthen or shorten the statement
- Look like a fool and ask or actually be a fool and stay silent; the choice is yours.
